Rep. Matthew McQueen won HD-50 in 2024 against Republican Kenneth Brennan, 61.6% to 38.4%. McQueen is now running to become the NM State Land Commissioner, and is actively supporting Sarah Boses to succeed him. The Race
HD-50 spans Sandoval and Santa Fe Counties. This is an open seat with an established Democratic lean: McQueen's 2024 margin was over 23 points. Kenneth Brennan, a former two-term Mayor of Edgewood, has filed to run against Sarah in a rematch of the 2024 contest.
